Integrating ICT in Mathematics Education for Primary School Teachers
Ms Yanti
I was recently selected to participate in an engaging professional learning experience. Being one of the participants for the Regular Course on Integrating ICT in Mathematics Education for Primary School Teachers was one of the most exciting things that I did last term. There were 30 participants from all over Indonesia and 10 participants from South East Asia countries like Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand. This course was held virtually by SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics from 15 - 26 March 2021.
Over the two-week class, I learnt a lot from them, some knowledge and skills related to integrating ICT in primary school mathematics teaching and learning. They cover but are not limited to developing mathematics games, building manipulative-interactive media and digital activity with an application, and simple programming and coding like GeoGebra, Desmos, Scratch, numworx, mathplayground, etc. By working in a group, the participants also performed real teaching by virtually teaching the students in our school, SD Canggu Community School.
Here are some of the activities that I built during the course:
