Model United Nations

The Model United Nations program at CCS is a student-led simulation of the real United Nations.

Students become delegates representing countries across the world and are assigned to one of a multitude of actual UN committees, wherein they research, write, debate, propose solutions, craft amendments, vote, public speak and engage in other diplomatic actions, collaborating with students from other schools (both across Bali and internationally).  MUN is generally open to all middle school/high school students. The skills, criteria, activities, and traits required for success are in line with the IB Learner Profile, the CCS Core Values, and Gotong Royong at CCS. It is also a great way for students to become more confident in working with others, public speaking, and becoming aware of news/current events/geopolitical influences.

The MUN program at CCS has been going strong for over a decade. Students generally research and write documents and speeches in preparation for more in-depth and personable lobbying at the conferences, and practice MUN debating; CCS MUN delegates usually go to 1-3 conferences a year, starting with BaliMUN (hosted by various schools around Bali annually) and an international conference. In the past CCS has participated in (and won awards at) YMUNT (Taiwan), YMUNK (South Korea), THIMUN Singapore, MYMUN  (Malaysia), ISWA MUN (Perth) and more. Please contact Mrs. Maya Wirastuti or Mr. Marshall for more details.
