Year 1T students played parachute tag! Parachute games encourage cooperation and teamwork in non-competitive play. In a fun, interactive way, students are developing their listening skills as they learn how to manoeuvre the parachute. The students require a coordinated effort to get the chute high enough for two students, who are opposite holders, to change places by going underneath the chute. They were also able to run under and pull down the chute and sit simultaneously on the ground so it remained inflated like a dome tent. This is more difficult than it sounds as it requires a combined effort to achieve. – Ms Lori Thakran.
