Dear CCS Parents and Community,
Thank you everyone who joined last week’s Parent Welcome Sessions and Indonesia Independence Assembly. Your partnership is essential to helping students be successful at CCS. If you came away with questions unanswered, please do reach out to us for any help or questions. Please enjoy the pictures and video below from last week’s events.
Education Outside the Classroom:
We are working on details for our upcoming EOTC Camps. Camps take place the week of September 23-27. Camps are an essential part of the curriculum and learning at CCS. Students in Year 3 and up have a camp experience with the programme designed to challenge students more as they grow. We will be communicating more details in the coming weeks, but please mark your calendars for this exciting week!
Drop Off Safety Reminder:
Drop Off Points – Primary students should be dropped off at the main Primary entrance. We also have two other drop off points: directly in front of the Security post by Secondary entrance, and in the top parking lot next to the Amphitheatre entrance. Please note that these should be fast drop points as traffic will be waiting. If you need a bit longer, please use the main Primary drop lane or park. Please do NOT drop students coming down the hill or turning into the top lot. Your child’s safety is our first priority! Thank you for your understanding and your support of our wonderful security team!

Year 6 Science
By Archer and Basti
In Year 6 science we have been learning what happens when you mix one liquid: water with another substance, such as soap, sand, oil, brown sugar and salt. We experimented with the liquids and the results were interesting. When we mixed them all together at the end, it turned into a disgusting liquid and the sand, sugar and salt did nothing but the oil and soap floated on top.
The next science project, which was where you put a thermometer in hot water and put your piece of material on top like plastic bags, bubble wrap, cotton, nothing and aluminum foil and then see which is the best heat insulator and then have to write down every 2 minutes to check what the temperature is then write it down on the chart then made a line graph to show the temperature rising or decreasing throughout the minutes of the line graphs.
