First Steps | Programme, Curriculum and Philosophy
First Steps students learn through play whilst engaging with the world around them. Through play, they can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Children learn by exploring the world around them and making connections.
The First Steps Half day and Full Day programme uses aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum from birth to five years to motivate, stimulate and monitor your child’s individual progress.
The areas of learning are:
· Communication and language
· Physical development
· Personal, social and emotional development
· Understanding the world
· Expressive arts and design
This programme has a teacher and teaching assistant. These teachers are qualified Early Childhood educators with a passion for developing young minds.
